wow, another post! a miracle, indeed! haha. i amuse myself.
i like writing down pretty quotes from songs and books, and random other bits of poetry/prose. maybe it's because other people often sound so much more eloquent than i do, and have said the exact same thing that i want to, but in a way that's so much more elegant and concise and wonderous. i wish i had a flair for writing, i really do. but somehow all the things i write tend to sound contrived and forced, and then i just give up. i do that a lot - give up.
i am such an uninspired individual. no motivations in life, no drive to succeed, no thirst for achievement, nothing. i just go about my day-to-day activities, with no sense of a greater purpose, with no aim to make anything of my life. the end product of life is to die, so nothing in that glorious interregnum that we call life, actually matters. it would explain why i am such a listless individual. things tend to seem lacklustre and boring when you imagine that there is no point to all of it anyway.
hm, i should change my perspective of life. but i'm not sure what to orientate my life around - some goal or purpose would be nice, but i cannot think of anything. fame, fortune, power, prestige - these things are material, and irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. lusting after them seems like a fruitless endeavour, like how some people desire immortality, or everlasting youth. i suppose this would all make more sense if i could find something i was passionate about, but nothing quite piques my interest just so.
oh well. i shall leave this issue be till another time. anyhow, it has been a good (re)start to this blog so far - let us hope it continues. possible topic to blog about soon: my concept of self. someone recently told me i have no concept of self, and this seems vaguely interesting, or interesting enough for me to delve into it further, at a later date.
for now, work, my beautiful mistress, calls.
