so. this is the end of this part of my life. i'm not entirely sad to be leaving (work got a bit mundane after a while), but leaving means i won't get to see all the people who have been such a big part of my life in the past few months on a regular basis anymore.
i have so many things i want to say, about what an amazing experience it has been, how much i will miss all the people who started off as colleagues but became my friends, and how much i have learned from this whole thing, but i don't know where to start, and i don't know what the point of verbalizing my feelings would be.
when i first started looking for a job, i only intended to work for two months, and then move on to something else. so i sent in my application and a couple of days later they called me for an interview. weirdest interview i have ever attended. thiru didn't ask me any questions, or anything about myself and just talked about the job and everything. and at the end of the interview he gave me his name card and said "we're busy at the moment, but if we don't call you in a few days, give me a call!" and it was the most hilarious thing i had ever heard. haha.
yes so obviously i got the call and reported to work, and ended up meeting such a lot of lovely people. well, initially i thought a lot of them were weird, and not very nice, but obviously i was wrong. and i am so glad that i got to know all these people so well, and that i have made some incredibly wonderful friends who have taught me so much. (: really, the people i have met are simply amazing. in every sense of the word.
despite all the ups and downs, all the incredibly boring mornings we spent waiting for guests to arrive, and for all the exciting times when there were minor and major crises and we had to deal with angry guests and difficult tour guides and everything, and all the management changes we underwent that eventually (sorta) worked out, it was a fantastic experience for me. i am so glad i decided to quit my previous job to take up this job and despite the less than fantastic pay, i think the memories more than made up for it.
so the plan to work for two months and change job didn't work out, but i'm glad i stayed. got to know people so much better. hung out with everyone a lot more. made so many new friends. and i know that i'm kinda dreading having to make a whole lot of new friends once uni starts, but if the friends i make in uni are as awesome as the friends i have made so far, then i think it would all be worth it.
haiyah. i dunno what else to say already. thankyous are so cliche, and i-will-miss-you-guys is such a given. we'll-be-friends-forever never works out anyway, so i guess i'll just end off now.
okay that was such an incoherent post.
