hmm. my tagboard has stagnated since 11th july. which is quite sad. so people who read (if there are any) TAG LAH. -__- see what a sad state i've been reduced to. all because of you. wah rhyme sia. -_- okay whatever.
um.
the US universities exhibition thing yesterday was quite intimidating, to say the least. harvard, yale, brown, stanford, princeton, berkeley etc. etc. etc. i realized again how much i'd like to go to the US to study. because it gives me another two years to think about what i wanna do in the future before finally deciding (flexibility! *insert name of uni here* gives you all the freedom you need to go 'shopping' before finally deciding on your major! it's one of the biggest selling points! - yes, as it is for all the other US unis. -_-). anyway. i wasn't really going to bitch about how similar they all started to sound after a while, but.
yes, well. the US unis offer a lot of flexibility, and TIME to decide, which is what i need, because me being the easily bored person that i am, will get bored of whatever i'm studying just like that *snaps fingers*. sigh.
but.
studying in the US is frickin' expensive. like really. 6-8 times more expensive per year. studying in the US for one year could put me through uni in NUS. including masters year. which means that if my parents were to pay for me to study in US for 4 years, they could probably put my sister, me and my brother through uni here in singapore for that same cost. (okay yeah my england not very powderful, but you all get what i'm saying right.)
sigh.
and there's nothing wrong with NUS, i guess. but like. it's so close to home. and it doesn't offer that same flexibility. and it's so rigid. and. urgh.
nevermind. just talking about it is making me feel suffocated. supressed. like the insurgents in god-knows-what-country. nevermind. that was quite random.
i think that being mediocre and not realizing that you're mediocre would be the saddest thing ever.
